About us

If we had it our way, we’d be writing this on a beach somewhere in Florida or Mexico, wearing no shoes and limited clothing, but alas, we’re actually sitting behind a really big desk in Texas.  A desk that unfortunately holds way more clutter than any one person should be allowed to collect.  We are a mother and daughter duo that team up in life as well as on this blog to share our adventures, know-how, and mishaps, and a little bit of everything in between.

As dedicated nature lovers, we’ve never met a living thing we didn’t like.  Our interests range anywhere from the tropical and exotic plants we collect to the islands we adore visiting, to the many charitable organizations we team up with that also support animals, ocean conservation, or our rainforests.  We also explore botanical skincare, island and ocean-related products, family and childcare products, books, and even food and drink recipes.
